Still Using Magento® 1? Time to Talk About Upgrading.

Magento® recently announced it will cease support for Magento 1 after June 2020. This includes both the Magento Commerce 1 (Enterprise Edition) and Magento Open Source 1 (Community Edition) softwares. We’ve talked before about the reasons to update your website and plugins on a regular basis, which holds equally true for Magento sites. For now, Magento will continue releasing security patches and other important fixes to ensure that Magento 1 sites remain safe and functional — but once support ceases, those sites will be left vulnerable.

While the June 2020 date leaves you enough time to make the switch to Magento Commerce 2, the occasion to start the upgrade process is now. If your site still uses Magento 1, reach out to us as soon as possible and we will get you on the path to Magento 2!
